An owner is someone who the subject belongs to. In the reading, the owner would be God. Everything belongs to him because he is the creator. A manager is someone who looks over someone’s else’s belongings. The manager would be us. We are the ones who are in charge of God’s things. I have been acting as an owner by taking account of everything I own. An example would be money. I always split my money to have investments for different things. I’ve been acting as a manager by making sure what I am investing is what God wants. God is the true owner of everything. Budgets really make things easier to manage. There is a target point that guides us on what is the ideal spending. I pray to God saying he is the true owner of everything I own and all my resources is because of him. I also pray for guidance for managing his things.

1) An owner would be the one to whom something belongs, while a manger is the person to whom that which belongs to the owner is entrusted with to be administered and used in accordance with the owner’s will.
2) I have been acting like an owner in that I have used the money that God has entrusted me with to serve my own selfish desires, without regard to what it is that God would want me to do with it.
I have been acting like a manager in that I give what I have been entrusted with to be used as a means to serve God’s kingdom in various ways, whether it be giving money, using it as a means to help others in need, or just as a way to bless others when I can.
3) I have created budgets before, but have found difficulty in sticking to them. Right now it is more difficult simply because my income and my expenses seem to fluctuate, based on particular circumstances- but I know that this is something I need to implement and practice better.
4) Heavenly Father, I pray that I would manage the resources that You have entrusted me with faithfully. Help me to recognize that all that I am and all that I have belongs to You, and grant me guidance and wisdom to be a better steward of Your money. Help me to live more faithfully, and let my finances be a reflection of a heart that treasures You and Your kingdom.

1. Owner – the person who has the right to the possessions/resources. Manager- the person who is entrusted with the responsibility for taking care or using the resources for the owner’s goal/purpose.

2. Sometimes I can act like the owner by feeling entitled to my things or using my things for my own purposes. Thoughts like “I deserve this because xyz.” may pop up which is not righteous because everything first belongs to God. I feel like a manager by taking good care of what God has blessed me with — cleaning the home, making use of my time with the girls, not wasting money on things I don’t need (trader Joe’s mini totes are the exception 🤣), not spending above our means.

3. Paul and I have never been the type to have a written down budget, but we do budget mentally. We make sure to save enough for summer, property tax, and monthly expenses and then see how much wiggle room there is. Currently on one salary, there is not a lot of wiggle room. In terms of giving, we can’t be generous as much as we want to money-wise, but we try to serve in ways where the little money we can give is maximized in combination with service (like cooking for people) or we try to be generous with our time and using our God-given gifts. Both of us have the same rules about money — no debt except for the mortgage.

4. Lord, I pray for your forgiveness for times when I’ve held on to my possessions too tightly or the times when I’ve coveted for things I cannot afford but want. My satisfaction should not come from my things or blessings, but should come from You. Continue to remind me of that. I pray that you help me and Paul to continue to be good stewards of what you’ve entrusted to us. Help us use what you’ve given to bring fruit to Your kingdom.

owner is the big boss and the manager is the overseer of the big bosses resources. I think I’ve been acting like an owner where when I see money in my account I think it’s fine just because of the hours I worked and how much of my time I put to get that money. I’ve been acting like a manager lately just realizing that God gave me the opportunity to work and he has given me the opportunity to spend money for his kingdom. Been trying to be more mindful of what I spend money. Started to keep a budget tracker and going to reevaluate whether or not the things I bought were really worth it or if they were just very silly. I just started it and it’s been good. I find myself being able to spend within the budget but then random stuff comes in like paying for application or schools things and I don’t know how to factor that in because it’s not like I can’t pay for that stuff. Lord please teach me to be a manager of the money you have given me and not an owner of it

Owner holds and possesses all the resources, whether it’s wealth or human capital or any other thing, whereas the manager just merely runs the day-to-day business making sure the owner’s possessions are gaining profits from the work it’s going under. I’ve been acting like a owner in the things I lent out to people, though I don’t always lend out things but that’s when I see myself as one. I become a manager when it comes to the resources at church or my own personal belongings like finances and possessions. My experience with budgets has overall been good. I generally don’t spend that much or at all, trying to save as much as I possibly could so it naturally just comes easy as I keep my expenses super low. I never know when emergencies come up and God’s people need help as well so it’s always good to be saving for things like that. God, I pray that you would help me manager the resources You have entrusted me with and be a good servant in that area, amen.

The difference between an owner and a manager lies in the authority over resources. An owner has the freedom to use their possessions as they see fit, while a manager oversees resources entrusted to them by others. At times, I forget that all I have is a blessing from God, leading me to act possessively and selfishly. However, I am reminded that everything ultimately belongs to God, and I am called to manage these resources wisely. Living on a budget has been a lifelong habit for me, initially out of necessity and now out of discipline. Even though our financial situation has improved, I still adhere to budgeting practices ingrained in me. Some may find it amusing that I am frugal by not turning all lights on in my house 🙂 or dining out often, but for me, it’s about responsible stewardship, even if it’s not always written down on a piece of paper.

Dear God, I come before you humbly acknowledging that what I have is ultimately yours. You are the ultimate provider and sustainer of all things. Grant me guidance and wisdom to manage the resources you have entrusted to me. Thank you God for your abundant blessings and the privilege of being a manager of your resources. In your name I pray, amen.

1) I think the owner is someone who investigates first, and the manager is in charge of handling things that the owner investigated. Speaking specifically to Earth, it is something God created first, and He made it perfect. We, as humans/Christians, are honored to be given the authority from God to maintain Earth’s perfection.

2) I think I cannot strictly say I’m either of them because I feel like sometimes I used money just for myself/my purposes before, but now I’m mainly saving money to help myself or people around me in the future.

3) I roughly have a budget for most things mainly because I need to report how much I’ve spent to my parents every month. I believe I’m building good habits because of that.

4) Dear Heavenly Father, I give up all of my possessions and turn them over to you. There may have been times when I possessed things solely for myself, but now I realize that true fulfillment comes from letting go and surrendering everything to you. I kindly ask you to give me advice on managing what has been entrusted to me. Amen.

An owner would be someone with a stake in a business or property. Meanwhile, a manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the owner’s business. I see myself acting as an owner when all I think about is the financial interests for me only. I also see myself acting as a manager when I use the resources I’ve been given to help and invest in others. I have had some experience with budgets; I would list my income and expenses to see what my net income would be. Up until this year, I started implementing an in-depth budget sheet to see where my money was going.
Lord, I fully surrender and turn over the ownership of my resources over to You. Thank you for the reminder that the things that I have are not mine but rather Yours. Grant me wisdom and guide me in using Your resources wisely, that I may be a good steward of what is entrusted to me.

1) besides the obvious difference (an owner owns it, a manager doesn’t own it), a key difference between the two is that the owner bears the consequences (profit or loss) of how the money is handled., the manager doesn’t participate in the profit or loss.
2) I’ve been acting like an owner in stressing about money. I’ve been acting like a manager in being accountable table to God for how I manage his resources.
3) I have been inconsistent with keeping a budget. Every few years Kathy and I will hammer one out but then we don’t stick to it.
4) “Lord God, you own everything in my life, from possessions to talents, to opportunities, even the kids. Help me to live out that reality so that I can be liberated from worry and so that I can focus on just being faithful to bring a return with what you’ve entrusted me with.”

I’m my mind, an owner is the person who has all the the responsibility and liability when it comes to the company, group, product etc.
The manager is the one in charge of controlling the operation or the output of what the owner made. He has no risk or liability and is relying on the owner for a job and his product.

Certain aspects of my walk I have acted like an owner. I feel the more I do that I realize how much I rely on the actual owner (God). Without his word we have nothing to offer.

I have never been good with budgets. I tend to think less if saving and budgeting, and more of making more money to adapt to the lifestyle.

Good I pray that you would continue to show me how much I need you and how much I need to rely on you as the owner of all that I have. Help me to grow closer to you as you break me down.

1. The owner is the person who runs a business and who has a vision for the business and how he wants the business to look like in the future. The manager is the one who looks over the business and does things to lead the business into the direction that is on the same page as the owner’s vision.
2. I don’t really act like an owner yet but I’ve been learning how to manage things when it comes to Cru because being the President requires me to look over the club and make sure it’s going on the right path and also when I was in GLA media team, I help run the church livestream, slides, and audio and try to keep everything going smoothly for media team.
3. I don’t really do a lot of budgeting but I know how to save a lot and spend a little. (My mom does all the budgeting).
4. Dear God, today I realized You own everything. You own my possessions, my faith, and my salvation. The things that I gain are not from me but from You so allow me to turn over the ownership of my resources to You. Please guide me and give me the wisdom in managing the things you have given me. I pray all these things in Jesus Name, Amen.
