Almost everyone in our group listened to worship music in their commutes to/from work/school
I listened to a song called My Victory by Crowder while I was driving. One line that stood out the most to me is “A cross meant to kill is my victory”. Jesus died on the cross for me so that I can have a relationship with God. The punishment that was meant for me because of my sin, Jesus already took care of it. And because of what Jesus did for me, I worship and put my faith in Him. He is my savior and deserve all the praises.
God, I’m thankful for who you are and what you did on the cross for us. I’m thankful for your great love that despite I’m a sinner, you still love us even to the point of dying on the cross for us. Help me to continue to experience your great love our life everyday
Wow! I was surprised to see how short today’s devotion was and how there are many forms of worship to God. My favorite way to listen to worship music is when I’m in the car. That’s where most of my alone time with God is because it’s calming and peaceful to me. Today’s song that stood out to me is Touch of Heaven by Hillsong Worship. It made me think about all the ways I want to know God & open up my heart to Him. “There is no hesitation in your love and affection. It’s the sweetest of all”. God, thank you for loving me. Thank you for making me feel safe and secure. I pray that I put my pre notions and fears aside and trust you wholeheartedly. I surrender my life to you in everything I do. You are my creator and my every lasting father and I desire to seek and love you.
I also love to listen to worship songs as my way of worshipping him whether i’m on the way to school, doing homework, or just chilling before bed, listening to music and singing along, singing has always been my way of feeling like God is always with me. i feel a sense of calmness knowing that I’m not alone in whatever i’m doing and that God will always be with me in whatever i
environment i’m in. I hope to continue this cycle of praising God in some way in my everyday life.
From Ciara:
Today I worshiped God by singing to Him and I thanked him for everything he did for me and my family. I thanked him for giving me life, I thanked him for giving me family, and I thanked him for giving me the best friends at my school. I also thanked him for letting me have a roof over my head and letting me have food in my house and waking me up in the morning. Dear Lord, thank you for everything you have done for me and my family. Thank you for being there for us in the worst times, and thank you for listening to us Everytime we pray to you.-Amen
