In today’s devotional, it was beautiful to read the scripture that were part of the reading. From the simplest things, God is constant and He is always there with us. “God’s constant presence is the most practical part of your life and ministry” is a great and significant reminder that the advancement of God’s kingdom is only possible through the relationship the people have with Him. Instead of relying on our strength and desiring what we want to do for God, we need to build our love relationship to be God-centered with the Lord where we listen and are ready to respond to what He calls us. I pray to build my intentionality with You Lord. To respond to You as You pursue because a love relationship can only happen through two people. Amen
The statement that stood out to me the most today was: “God’s constant presence is the most practical part of your life and ministry. Unfortunately, we often assign God a limited role in our lives.” This jumps out at me because I see it in my own life, but I sometimes put God last in the things I do and in my thinking, whether I do that purposely or not, God still doesn’t come first. God controls my life and I am putting Him aside as if He’s a last resort I should come to when all my human efforts fail. I see that I sometimes assign God a limited role in my life as well. When I need Him I come to Him, other than that, He’s just in the background and I would do my own thing. This is the wrong way of thinking and going about seeing my Lord.
God, please help me put You and You will first every day. Help me to not forget that You alone are my source of comfort and shelter when all else fails. I pray You would draw me closer to You each day.
The growth of God’s kingdom depends on His relationship with His people. God desires to establish a true and personal relationship with us. As we respond to God’s action in our lives, our lives can also reflect a meaningful, intimate, and practical relationship. God’s desire has always been to have a loving relationship with us. His efforts are focused on making this desire a reality. God is a Person who pours His life into ours. In prayer, we must ask the Lord to reveal the true nature of our walk and fellowship with Him, as well as to lead us into that sort of relationship. The most practical aspect of our lives and ministry is God’s constant presence. In the Bible, knowing and experiencing God via a real and personal relationship was practical. As God works through us and transforms us day by day, be patient and obey Him. God has the power to make a significant difference in our relationships with our families, our church, and other people.
“His plan for the advancement of the muslim depends on His working in real and practical ways through His relationships with His people.” it kind of blows my mind that i never considered to describe or view my relationship with God as “practical.” it makes so much sense though as He tells us that we don’t survive off bread alone and that He met the needs of so many people in Biblical times. i never stopped to consider that every time he answered my prayers, it was always practical. thank you Lord for establishing a real, personal, and profoundly practical relationship with me. i pray that you’d change my perspective to more and more realize the practicalities of what it means to be in a relationship with You and the many ways You work in my life to meet needs and wants that i have overlooked before
