General Nguy\u1ec5n H\u1eefu C\u00f3 wrote:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>In the summer of 1977, me and the other generals (31 people) were at the re-education camp 5 Yen Bai. We were transferred here from Quang Trung camp by plane last summer (1976). Here we have to work very hard. Every week, except for the sick, we had to go to the mountains to cut firewood to bring home for cooking. It was sweltering hot that day. After chopping down 1 load of firewood according to the quota (about 25 Kg), I sat down to rest on the hill under the shade, waiting for my brothers to finish cutting so that the guards could take us all back to the camp. I looked at my surroundings. There are birds dancing on the branches. There are flocks of butterflies fluttering around showing off their wings in vibrant colors. In the sky, columns of white clouds fly over a clear blue sky background. Dragonflies flutter like tiny helicopters. Suddenly I wonder who created all things in nature. Does everything exist on its own, and the universe just sets the law of development and existence by itself? From that thought, I looked up at the sky and thought of someone whom the world calls Tr\u1eddi (God) or Creator. I think there must be a creator who created the world and all things. With that in mind, I compare God with Buddha. People often say &#8220;Tr\u1eddi m\u01b0a&#8221; (It&#8217;s raining), &#8220;Tr\u1eddi n\u1eafng&#8221; (It&#8217;s sunny), &#8220;Tr\u1eddi gi\u00f3&#8221; (It&#8217;s windy), &#8220;Tr\u1eddi l\u1ea1nh&#8221; (It&#8217;s cold), etc. The Buddha is not called like that. After that trip to collect firewood, I had a new perception. That is the starting point of knowing God. Since then, I have looked and thought differently than before. For the tribulation I experienced, I no longer attribute it to fate. I think that the God who created me must have power over my life.
