{"id":224294,"date":"2023-04-20T03:44:00","date_gmt":"2023-04-20T10:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vayhub.us\/rdpt22\/?p=224294"},"modified":"2023-04-20T14:48:57","modified_gmt":"2023-04-20T21:48:57","slug":"what-to-do-in-trials","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vayhub.us\/rdpt22\/what-to-do-in-trials","title":{"rendered":"What to Do in Trials"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Greetings, hotline callers! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, we&#8217;re going to explore James 1:5-8 and learn how to approach God amid trials and why asking for wisdom is so important for enduring and growing through them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><sup>5<\/sup>If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. <sup>6<\/sup>But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. <sup>7<\/sup>That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. <sup>8<\/sup>Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.<\/p>\n<cite>James 1:5\u20138 (NIV)<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/vayhub.us\/rdpt22\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/2023-04-20_14h36_08-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-224304\" srcset=\"https:\/\/vayhub.us\/rdpt22\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/2023-04-20_14h36_08-980x552.png 980w, https:\/\/vayhub.us\/rdpt22\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/2023-04-20_14h36_08-480x270.png 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Trials can often make us feel confused and disoriented. But not to worry! We have the perfect solution for you: God&#8217;s 24\/7 Wisdom Hotline! No, it&#8217;s not an app, and you don&#8217;t need a subscription (although, you can definitely consider it the ultimate &#8220;divine&#8221; plan).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To promote us to call God for wisdom, James reminds us of God&#8217;s wonderful nature in v 5:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>He gives &#8220;generously&#8221; (v 5). God isn&#8217;t tight-fisted with His wisdom. The line is toll-free. He delights in lavishing His wisdom upon those who ask for it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>He gives to all (v 5). God&#8217;s wisdom isn&#8217;t restricted to a select few. Direct support is available to everybody. If you belong to God, His wisdom is for you, no matter your circumstances.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>He gives &#8220;without finding fault&#8221; (v 5). When we approach God in times of distress, He doesn&#8217;t shake His head in disappointment, \u201cThis is the 49<sup>th <\/sup>times this week\u201d. He lovingly guides and leads us without judgment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>So, how can you get in touch with this wisdom hotline? Well, you don&#8217;t need a fancy phone or a high-speed internet connection. All you need is a humble and sincere heart that&#8217;s willing to dial into the heavenly realm through prayer. God is more reliable than any customer service or tech support you&#8217;ve ever encountered (and that&#8217;s saying something)!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Worried about the response time? Fret not! God&#8217;s wisdom hotline is open 24\/7, 365 days a year (366 on leap years, of course). There&#8217;s no wait time or annoying hold music; just pure, loving, divine guidance from God Himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, the next time you&#8217;re in a pickle, remember to tap into the ultimate source of wisdom.
