Bumble thinks the story can be drawn this way:
Discuss: 1) What do you think of God’s story? 2) Are there any parts you disagree with, or are there any parts that confuse you? Explain. 3) Do you think you could write down from memory the major point of each of the four parts? 4) If you have heard the story of God before, either as a child or in a different context, how was it explained to you? How does it relate to what you read today?
From Cyndi
God’s story is beautiful and good and clear. The Terrible Fall part when Adam and Eve disobeyed God have made we wondered that if God is in control of all things, why did he allow and gave Adam and Eve the choice to freely choose. God knows all things why didn’t he stop them from eating the forbidden fruit. I just wish we can live in that perfect garden that God made.. free from hurt suffering illness and death.
I can remember all four parts. I did the Operation Good News (OGN) training and learned to share my faith using similar contexts when I was in high school at Santa Ana church. It was a very memorable and impactful experience. I love what Bumble had us do on Sunday using the 15 seconds sharing your faith story. It’s short and concise and simple yet deep enough to share to nonbelievers.
Dear God I pray that you will use me this weekend when I see Charlotte, Victoria and Caryn at their kids birthday parties. I pray that you would help me to share my faith story to them. I want to share your Good News and your story of salvation to them. Help me to share and communicate my faith story clearly and effectively. Amen.
The Gospel is a beautiful story of God’s redemptive plan for us. It points out our sinful nature and how imperfect we are. But God loves us so much that he sent his one and only son to die on the cross for us. The best part of the story is we get to partner with God in bringing restoration to others. It’s truly a beautiful story.
No, everything is pretty clear to me
Yes, I can write down the main points from memory
As I child, I grew up in a Christian family so it was present to me on a surface level. Not until I encountered Christ in my life that the Gospel truly made sense to me. My first time learning how to share the Gospel, the story was presented to me like a present. It relates to today’s reading because it contains all the parts of the story, except it doesn’t go in-depth about the last part.
Dear God, thank you for your grace even though we don’t deserve any of it. I ask that you help me to share my story with my family and my friends so that they too can experience the good news.

1) gods story is redemptive, powerful, full of love and grace and a blueprint to me on how to live life.
2) I would have to say no. I have seen his story personally work out within my life. Although I am full of sin and have done many sinful things, he never abandoned me. When I finally turned to him for help, what I felt was love and his grace. The fog began to lift and a relationship between him and I was born.
3) yes I do. After working with don on the starter series and being involved in 2 of these daily devotional groups, I quite sure I could summarize the 4 parts of gods story.
4) I never really paid attention to gods story before. I’m sure it was exposed to me in passing but I never was a believer or had any interest in his story prior to the last few months. I am thankful I know it today however and that’s what matters. Today I seek him for I know in him is what I seek. God is good. Thanks
It is a beautiful story. I don’t think I disagree with anything that was told. Humans fall short and were given a chance, but we fell short just becuase we are humans. I think I could write out each piont if someone asked me. I have heard the story of God before and taht was when I was in junior high and the way it was explained to me is the same way I read it tonihgt.
1. God’s story is beautiful, full of love for mankind. Unfortunately, the fall of Adam and Eve affected the entire human race.
2. While certain sections of the Bible can be confusing, I don’t refute God’s words.
3. Creation – mankind were created; Fall – death; Solution – Jesus died for us; Restoration – reconciliation with God and new beginning.
4. Growing up in a Christian household, I encountered the gospel at a young age. Initially, the gospel seemed to revolve around doing good deeds to avoid disappointing God or facing punishment. However, as I grew older, I came to understand the true essence of the Gospel, which is centered on Jesus Christ accomplishing everything on our behalf. Now, I realize that I don’t need to strive to earn God’s love; I simply need to believe in Jesus. Thank you, Jesus.

I think God’s story is fair. He created the perfect world for us and all he asked in return is to listen to him, and we didn’t. Yet he still forgives us for our sins because he loves and cares for us. There are not any parts that I am confused about. I believe I have a good understanding of it. I don’t think I can write down all the major points from memory yet but if I read through it a few times then I believe I can. I’ve heard the story of God before from various sources such as t.v. and media and it relates to the reading pretty well. I pray that God see’s my devotion to him and that He will forgive me for all my sins.
I think that God’s story is one that is perfect, and none other like it. The story is centered on Jesus Christ, God’s solution for the world and for mankind. One thing that I still try to wrap my head around is how God is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. If I remember correctly, the story starts off with God creating the world. Then, due to the disobediance of Adam and Eve, their relationship with God was broken. This led to the fall of man. God would send His Son Jesus Christ as the solution to the sin in the world. After the death of Jesus, we are given the gift of eternal life through accepting Christ as our Lord and Savior. When I was a child, God’s story was told in a similar way. I learned of God’s love early on, and how He died for our sins.
1. and 2. I think it’s refreshing to hear that out of God’s own love, grace, and mercy, He sent His Son to die as a propitiation for our sins. I don’t disagree with anything, because at the end of the day, we need a Savior who is perfect and not a Savior who is a sinner and Jesus had no sin, and it comes to show that our works means nothing when it comes to salvation because we’re not good people but Jesus is good and He is the one who saves us and its very encouraging to hear that.
3. Just like what Diesel said, the points simulate to the 4 spiritual laws which is easy to write down from memory cause it essentially points out about God’s love, man’s fall, God’s solution, and God’s restoration in humankind.
4. I’ve heard it many times but it didn’t really hit me until when I came to realize that works mean nothing but the Gospel and the response to the Gospel means everything and from then on, the God’s message unto Salvation always hits me deeply.
God’s story is a depiction of true love, salvation and grace is. God intended this world to be peaceful, but Adam and Eve’s sinful nature caused them to be disobedient and fall from God. I don’t think any part of the story is confusing. I think I’ve heard this story many times to remember the 4 major points. The hard part for me is being able to say it out loud without forgetting the details. I remember being in CM and having this story told to me. It was explained very briefly about Adam and Eve being tempted by Satan, eating the forbidden fruit & hiding away from it but I never was explained in detail why that truly mattered. It relates to how I understand the story today because I see the concept of being disobedient to God and thinking we know what’s best in our lives. It was Adam and Eve’s attitude that was the main factor in their relationship with God. I recognize that only God has the power to redeem and restore us. The things of this Earth cannot and will not fix us; it just pushes us away from our creator and digs us deeper in sin. Thank you God for sending your only son, Jesus to die on the cross for us to become anew again.
1) God’s solution reminds me that I am not the one who solves problems when I encounter them. God is the only one who gives me answers and solves the problems. I still often think I can solve these issues by myself, but this way of thinking is totally wrong and misguided. It’s a humbling reminder that I am not in control; instead, it is through surrendering to God’s guidance and relying on His wisdom and strength that true solutions are found.
2) I don’t think so.
3) Yes, especially for how perfectly He made this world and all other things and how He came to us and gave His wisdom.
4) I heard God’s story in the girls’ college group last year. We started with the very beginning of the Bible, and Kimberly and Hoa broke down what the Bible says in easy words so that I could learn God’s word even though I was not a Christian then.
