If this isn’t a desire for you, be honest with God. Ask Him to open your heart to ways of reaching others with His love. If you do have that desire, ask Him how He wants you to serve.
1) Reach out to those I may not usually talk to. Love them and connect with them. Use the gifts God gave me to impact my community — it could look like volunteer work, maybe even being vocal about what I’ve learned in this season to encourage others (my mom IG). Being consistent in praying for those outside my usual circle.
2) It’s true! When we bless others, our hearts change and we learn to be more like Christ which is a blessing in itself!
3) Lord, I do have a desire to work for your kingdom. In this season of busy motherhood life, please show me how to incorporate the great commission in my life. Give me the courage, boldness, and words to share your truths with others. Light the fire in me to be passionate about this calling.
Niki: 1) What are ways you can become involved in the Great Commission?
I can give resources to those in need in other countries, befriend those from other cultures and countries, establish relationships with international students….hmmm hosting international students as they student abroad is doing this!…even one day going on a mission trip.
2) What are your thoughts about being “blessed to be a blessing” when it comes to sharing the Good News?
It’s exciting, meaningful, purposeful, hopeful actually that God blesses us with talents, gifts, and resources to be a blessing to others. God’s heart is for all to know his love for them so should naturally overflow for us to join God in blessing others so they can experience God’s goodness and hope.
3) Write a prayer about your role in God’s mission. If this isn’t a desire for you, be honest with God. Ask Him to open your heart to ways of reaching others with His love. If you do have that desire, ask Him how He wants you to serve.
Dear God. You reminded me this morning of your great big heart for everyone to come to know you and experience your love and hope for them not just in this local community, but for entire world to be reached. Forgive me when for limiting in my resources to serve you locally and sometimes I find myself serving you out of convenience. Help me to be more intentional in building relationships with other cultures and for me and my family to one day serve together on a missions trip! May your name be glorified through how I live my life with what you have blessed me with. Amen.
I would reach out to old friends and catch up with them or even friends of friends I have met but never talked much. Find more people to talk to spread the word of God and just to have more relationships. I believe “blessed to be a blessing” just empowers me to be grateful for what I am. I’m thankful for being a blessing and I will pass it on to others. Everyone deserves the good news. I prayed to God and I heard him calling to be to volunteer more with my fellow friends. He wants me to help the people in need in any way possible and give back to the community.

Happy Hump Day!
There are many ways I can be part of the Great Commission:
1. Be involved in serving the Christian community by encouraging my peers and discipling the youth;
2. Continue to be bold and spread the Gospel to all who come in contact with me; and
3. Live out my convictions so that others can see that there is something different in me, which would in turn lead them to ask about my life / faith.
I have received the greatest gift without deserving it. It’ll be a shame to not share so that others will also receive the same gift. It’s a privilege and blessing to be able to share the “lotto ticket” of life with others.
Lord, you know it’s my heart’s desire to reach the lost. Please help me put aside this life of comfort and selfishness so that I can squeeze in some time to work towards eternal goals.
The way I can currently become more involved in the great commission is to use what God is giving me to reach more people. God has given me a great opportunity in my work to share his name. I speak with people whether they are new to the shop or regulars everyday. I think I need to be more bold in my faith and not just talk about God to the customers I know are believers, but also to those who don’t give those clear signs.
When I hear “blessed to be a blessing” I think of it as not something to take lightly, but also not to be shy away from. God has entrusted us to a very important mission which we are blessed to have been given. I think when we realize how this gift has nothing to do with our own strength, the easier it is to spread his name because it is all him.
God I pray that you would help me further my passion for being apart of your great commission. I know I don’t always have the desire to do so, but I pray that you would continue to break me down into the servant of your kingdom you want me to be. I pray that you would continue to bless our church in this time.
1. This year has helped know what the Great Commission truly is. Being able to evangelize at FOMO and Cru has helped me have a heart to preach the Gospel more and more. I thank God for involving me in the Great Commission through Cru and FOMO.
2. When it comes to sharing the Good News and being “blessed to be a blessing”, it reminds me that we are saved by God so that we can share the Gospel to people and that they will be saved. We are justified by Christ alone and we share the Good News so that other people can be justified by Christ alone.
3. Dear God, Thank You for the opportunity You have given me to evangelize at FOMO and Cru. To be honest, it’s tiring, draining, and it feels like I don’t wanna do it anymore. Please continue to give me the courage to preach the Gospel no matter how awkward it gets. Give me the courage to share the Gospel to people out of the blue. I pray in Jesus Name, Amen.
“Our global God wants us to become global Christian and share his heart for the nations of world.” One way our family contributes to the Great Commission is by financially supporting various mission organizations such as CRU, Compassion International, Prison Ministry, FCA, blind ministry, Intervarsity, and others. Through our resources, we’ve witnessed the spread of the Gospel to countless individuals who may have never encountered Jesus otherwise. While we may not be directly involved, we trust that all things work together for the sake of Christ.
Over the years, I’ve instilled in Timmy the belief that we’re blessed to be a blessing to others in various ways. Despite our imperfections, God’s love for us inspires a mission to extend that same love and blessings to those around us.
Dear God, as I reflected on today’s devotion, I was reminded of Your love for humanity and Your desire to bless them abundantly. Sometimes, I become so focused on my immediate community that I forget about the world beyond. Please forgive my shortsightedness and open my eyes to the needs of others around me. I ask that You continue to work in me and reveal the mission You have for me to serve others. Give me a heart for the lost and the hurting, especially for Celeste, whom I lift up to You tonight. You have shown Yourself through her during this difficult time, and I trust that You have something greater in store for her because of Your promise never to forsake or abandon us. I claim Your promise for Celeste and ask that Your name be made known in her life, among her family, and among her friends. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
I can become more involved in the Great Commission by spreading the gospel to those that God has put in my life, like my students and the communities that I’m in. When I think about being blessed to be a blessing, I’m thankful first that I grew up in a Christian household and have been blessed with a community, family, job, and more. The devotion mentions that God blesses people to be channels to His blessings and it makes me reflect on if I’m just being thankful for these blessings or if I’m using it to further His kingdom. God, I thank you for your blessings in my life and I pray that I can use it to glorify you by sharing the gospel through my words and actions.
I think ways I can be open to the great commission is to just use the gifts God gave you and plant seeds. Try watering those seeds but ultimately God can only change a person’s heart. I think blessed to be a blessing means that God has worked in your life and you are being a light to others. Hello Lord I want to help you make disciples among nations and wherever that may be lead me there Lord.
I think the best way for me to get involved with the Great Commission is to join a college group. Through them I get to know people who believe in God. As for “blessing to be blessed” when it comes to sharing the good news, I am actually glad I got this. I feel the love that people around me have inherited. Dear God, I have rejoiced in the love of those who believe in You. I pray that you will help me to pass it on again to others.
